Therapy for mothers

Weekly or biweekly therapy for mothers in Washington State.

Motherhood is one of the most profound transitions of adult life — and it can also be one of the loneliest. You may be:

  • Anxious, depressed, or "off" in a way you can't quite name

  • Carrying birth experiences that didn't go the way you imagined

  • Grieving the version of yourself you were before

  • Trying to parent differently than you were parented

  • Stretched so thin you've forgotten what regulation even feels like

Therapy is a space to slow down, be honest, and put yourself back together with someone who actually understands what you're moving through.

What I treat

  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders — postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, rage, and intrusive thoughts

  • Birth-related grief and trauma

  • Matrescence — the identity transition of becoming a mother

  • Parenting-related anxiety, perfectionism, and overwhelm

  • Inherited family patterns — when you want to parent differently than you were parented

  • Relationship strain during the transition to parenthood

How I work

I'm trained in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), mind body connection, and Positive Discipline / Adlerian psychology. Our work together draws on:

  • Talk therapy — making sense of what you're moving through with someone who has clinical training and lived experience

  • Nervous-system tools — because matrescence lives in the body, not just the mind

  • Parts work — getting curious about the different voices and protectors inside you

  • Adlerian and Positive Discipline frameworks — when parenting is part of what we're untangling

  • Brain science and developmental knowledge — to make sense of what's happening in you, your child, and the relationship between you

The logistics

  • Telehealth sessions, available to anyone physically located in Washington State

  • 50 minutes, weekly or biweekly

  • $[YOUR FEE] per session — private pay; payment due at time of session. I am not currently in-network with insurance and do not bill insurance or provide superbills.

  • Good Faith Estimate provided before our first session

  • Free 15-minute consultation before scheduling

Therapy services are available only to clients physically located in Washington State at the time of session. If you live outside Washington and are looking for parenting support, my coaching offerings may be a good fit.

If you're in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room. Email and web inquiries are not appropriate for urgent or emergency support.
